Final preparations underway for Peterborough's biggest B2B event of the year

Peterborough businesses are preparing to be inspired at the city's biggest B2B event of the year which takes place next week.

Over 600 businesspeople are expected to attend the free Peterborough B2B exhibition which seeks to encourage business success and innovation in the city with a series of informative seminars sponsored by CityFibre. The sessions will feature expert advice for businesses on digital marketing strategies, social media, effective customer management and sales conversion. Andy Starnes from CityFibre will also present on the benefits pure fibre internet technology brings to business.

Simon Machen, director of growth and regeneration at Peterborough City Council, will close the seminar programme with a presentation outlining the city's growth and investment plans for the next 3 years and will introduce the Council's proposed joint venture regeneration delivery partner, The Lucent Group.

The Peterborough B2B Exhibition is organised by Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce in partnership with Opportunity Peterborough.

Steve Bowyer, acting chief executive at Opportunity Peterborough, said: "With more than 85 companies exhibiting during the day, and a packed free seminar programme running in parallel to the main exhibition, the Peterborough B2B exhibition is not to be missed. It's a fantastic event so I'd encourage local businesses to make the most of the free entry and benefit from this great networking opportunity."

The Peterborough B2B Exhibition is sponsored by Peterborough City Council, Lucent Group, Peterborough Regional College, Peterborough Telegraph, KingsGate Centre, Something Beckons, Olsen Partnership, The Larkfleet Group and CityFibre. The event takes place at the KingsGate Conference Centre in Peterborough on Wednesday 22 October from 9.00-4.00pm.
